Future 2014: Social Coverage

Posted on December 21, 2013 at 4:50 PM Comments comments (0)

Hey guys, this is Red Encabo here to speak about social networking for me and my new small freelance organization, Red Foundation, in 2014.

As you may have heard, according to Frank Meacey's "The Future of My Projects," although Buddy Web will not close down, the site will no longer be updated/worked on. Recently, most members have experienced performance problems and site errors to the point in which some of us felt like it was time to leave.

I don't want to sound harsh, but Buddy Web is officially falling in shambles.

While Buddy Web falls in shambles, Twii is becoming the new standard.

Weekly-monthly updates, a live, fast-growing community and vast number of site improvements make Twii an interesting candidate when it comes to moving in to a new social network.

This is the part when I tell you that by January of 2014, Red Foundation will start to expand their social networking.

Nevertheless, this does not mean we will not leave social networks. For instance, in the last two weeks I removed my MySpace account due to the lack of activity I do there. The same will go for Buddy Web soon.

Red Foundation will have their own profiles and pages. I am certain that a new Facebook page for the organization will roll out approximately April 2014. A Twitter profile, on the other hand, is unlikely. None of us (I am talking of course, about Stephen, Rico, Robert, Alex, Phillip, Jesse, Darren, Tom, and myself) are taking consideration of using Twitter.

We will also publish a new profile for Red Foundation on Twii in January or February. Most importantly, though, a Google+ profile will be created for the group in an unknown date. Most of us members decided that we should promote our content with video. With Google+, we will also be able to increase our social range on the web.

Other social networks we are thinking of joining are: Hylus, and when it releases, Beme, Buxster, Postreme, and Medlin+ (we don't mind if it comes later than 2014.)

Concept Logos for 2013

Posted on May 14, 2012 at 3:30 PM Comments comments (0)

So far I have been working on next year's works because I would like to "upgrade" from this year quickly and not have to worry. Before Creepster. Ace, Rico, and I played 3 hour game of Baseball at a small field nearby a park I decided working on the Creepster's Lair logo. Unfortunately due to the close down of Shadow Infinite the new logo and design will not be created. In addiiton to this, HibbleLand (Rico's site) will not have a logo change, because I think it's fine. But then again, I'm not going to edit their content, just the design and that's that! Okay I do revise their work but definitely not clear it out.

If you seen the 2013 Creepster's Lair concept logo at the home page, it should look a little bit like this:

Now there's one thing that I am going to make different.

For instance, Creepster's Lair's logo will not be that big. It looks really good in my opinion and it definitely fits (if you think about it). Colors might be different and it is uncertain whether I will add a skull or not. But that's all in the works!

The plans of designing could be based on this logo which is a good thing, because I am now able to visualize my upcoming design for the site. By the way, Creepster's Lair's template was based off another site, and back then I didn't have much of the skills to create my own original, originally, so, yeah.

Today I have piano practice for a be special "something" at Ohio so I am not able to tell you everything so far. Also, I want to try Mass Effect 3 and play it. My friends are telling me that it is a great game. Only a few of them have it but most don't. I will ask my bro if I can post the game vid at his site. LOL.

Bro Gets Top Comments

Posted on May 11, 2012 at 5:45 PM Comments comments (0)

I don't know why I decided to type an entry about this, but oh well. :P

My brother started yelling about when all of the sudden I see the following:

You first think that this is not my brother's account (especially because his name is Ultimate9011 or Pinkie Pie / Princess Molestia, which is now Pinkie Pie - Lulz). Challenger90188 is super old (YouTube account is created around 2008-2009) and was Rico's original username. But now I feel sad for myself, because while I get tons of respect online, it seems that Rico gets the fame (for a day, until his top comment is replaced.)

Rico gets more excited when he sees another top comment (from him) and he starts saying, "I must be dreaming. I don't know what's happening but I feel famous."

Unfortunately all of his fame is gone, because by the next day a new top comment arose. Rico started a ragequit, asking me, "Why did he delete my comment?" But the user didn't delete it and Rico was so crazy about this shenanigan that he sent a message about the comment. The user then didn't respond. I told him, "A new top comment will be there every day. So shut the f*ck up and get outta here. My turn!"

So now what is he doing? Now he is making sure that he types comments and gains more fame and thumbs. Sadly, this goal will not last forever.

The Red Awards: An All-New Tradition

MILESTONE: 50TH BLOG ENTRY

The last thing I would like to talk about is the brand new idea of an all-new segment called the Red Awards, which will happen every single summer. I will be bringing awareness about this to many social sites, and of course you can join to!

A couple of requirements are made. First, you must have a website that is, at least, 6 months old. In order to join the awards, you must be reviewed by me, which really means if you fail, well, you are ineligible. The Red Awards is for those who would like their websites noticed.

I will make a new page of the Red Awards, but for now it will not happen until June. Nonetheless, we will allow recruits to join and yes I will tweet this, post this on Facebook, and etc. See you there! Oh, and yes, some sites will be automatically joined due to sponsorship.

Extra Updates [6]

Much of what I have to say is about some parts of the internet I'm connected to, but also is about the opening of HibbleLand, and the renovations of my website, Shadow Infinite, and Creepster's Lair.

I joined Twitter today, and a minute later 1 person started following me. I tweeted at least 5-6 times at the same time. YouTube--well, unless I have some vids, why would I need one? I changed the background and designs for Facebook, Twitter, and my site.

Speaking of my site, I added a new background. But that's really much I renovated. Somebody nice today told me it was a wonderful design. While my design has much of its flaws, it was pretty much, in my opinion, the best design I made yet. Creepster's Lair and Shadow Infinite are so far in a quick halt (not really), because I'm deciding its fate. I'm beginning to think people are going to give up on their past and just move on to their lives. Plus, Creepster and Ace has things to do. You might want to see Creepster still for he's uploading new videos. I'm going to help him with the videos. I also told him not to use Windows Movie Maker. First of all, it sucks, and secondly, he has Corel Video Studio so why not use that--I heard it was good. I have Sony Vegas Pro--and in my opinion you can do much more with it than others.

Shadow Infinite and Creepster's Lair does need a renovation, to say the least--I have been working on their design based on some templates but I'm beginning to realize that what I made wasn't really original. If possible, Shadow Infinite and Creepster's Lair will be revamped--a lot. And that's all I can say. What about HibbleLand?

I have been telling many others from around the internet to visit this incomplete site. I'm still working on it and so far I believe it's really nice, and so is the site builder. Check it out, and visit some of my bro's other connected sites--Twitter (his page isn't really updating), YouTube (that also), and Facebook (okay I don't know about that, but oh well.)

All-New Website Builder on Webs

Posted on March 23, 2012 at 7:35 PM Comments comments (0)

Big news to all Webs members... as you can see I didn't know what was going on until today when I found out that Webs had a new makeover on their site builder---and the changes are big. The changes must have been applied to Webs this week or the beginning of this week or the end of last week. I don't know; I just read it today.

The fact that I despised most of their templates is changing. The new templates weren't perfect but they were far better. Also, this would be the perfect thing to happen, especially for my new project. Unfortunately they have a few templates, and again, not everything is perfect, plus not only are the templates, again not perfect, but also this is only available to those who recently just signed up.

They will give you a simple tour for it. But there are many wishes and hopes from me that I hope happens on this new site builder:

  • Fixing errors for saving drafts
  • Better templates (not those crappy version ones)
  • Pretty much all problems
  • etc.

Maybe those aren't a lot of hopes but with a whole new interface for new members things need to change around here. I will be using the new site builder for you know what I told you... but then again I just read about this so I don't know even close or near to 10% to the real info.

Valentines Day Updates (Extra Updates 5)

Posted on February 14, 2012 at 4:30 PM Comments comments (0)

Happy Valentine's Day! There are many things in about 30 minutes that we have to receive to you so we need to discuss this pretty quick. This is one of the things you need to know:

Creepster & I decided to cancel the premium site. We are very close to the goal (though not as close as you think), with 348 coins so far and we would like to use that to actually spend it on extra stuff such as unlimited pages. I have 150 coins for myself, but that wouldn't stick with the topic. Anyways, we canceled it. Tomorrow, however, is Creepster's Lair's 4th Anniversary. There won't be any party nor partying for this year. We do not have time, and secondly, next year will be even bigger.

I did start on the Isang Binhi website, and so far nothing is really there. My pictures are somewhere else, somewhere in my hard drives or something, but that's all I know.

In conclusion, that is pretty much everything that I can tell you. While typing this post I felt a little bored, so  I ended up watching random funny videos. Some of them might be from Shadow Infinite.
