SUMMARY
This site, TiniestUrl, has the same functionality as of the previous site I reviewed, but is slightly different and is created by Cody. Also simple and fast, you just type your URL address and in a split second it will generate a new, tiny URL. I was told that this is its beta version (if I can remember) so not everything will be perfect. But then there's one question: does TiniestUrl define itself?
DESIGN: 88/100
The design of this site is sexy indeed. I have to say that the design (especially in Google Chrome, which I use and should) is beyond impressive, and much better than what I have mostly done over the years, so, great job! However, downfalls and bad marks give the design a lower score. For instance, I noticed how TiniestUrl is best viewed when using Google Chrome. But, you should make sure that your site looks good in all browsers (cross-browsing, perhaps). Some of the bad flaws of the design can be seen from, what do you know, Internet Explorer. I know how crappy IE is, even though IE9 is a major improvement, but come on. My brother uses IE and I tell him to use Chrome, but he ignores me. So in a nutshell, your design is not going to be "beyond impressive" for IE users. I also noticed how links are not the same size, depending on the page you click in. For instance, when you click on "Contact", the navigation bar's text will increase. Please fix that, it's kind of disturbing/distracting.
FEATURES: 82/100
CONTENT: 80/100
What I just said about the features is that you need to add more so then there's more to your site then just shrinking URL addresses. For instances, some sites offering the same things also offer analytics, customizing the URL, and much more. Oh well, at least you can embed widgets. Also, the API page is really educational and is a nice source for integration.
ORGANIZATION: 94/100
The site is super clean, minimal, and efficient. I'm happy to say that TiniestURL has very tiny bad scratches. Of course, remember in design flaws that any image linked has an annoying white rectangle. Not each page is the same when it comes to this, but seriously, this site (so far) is the most organized I have ever seen. Improve as the site evolves and this could go up, you never know.
CONCLUSION
This site is fantastic: clean, simple, fast, and many "good" words really describe it. Now again not everything is perfect. My advice is to add more, yet not too much. Yes, people are more focused on shortening URLs than anything else, but a few/some probably want extra. The design is almost perfect, the organization is almost perfect, just mostly everything is reaching beyond the limits of web designing and etc.
